8800gt problem yet to be resolved..........

i got a new 8800gt as i was still under warranty and now the problem has only gotten worse!!! it blackscreens even when im not playing online games......damn frustrating......but i decided to look for a solution on forums once again, after some research, i figured out that most 8800gt's have similar problems and have found what i hope is a solution to my prob, hmm... the comp temperature hits 55c when i am only running msn....crap that's hot, normal pc's run at 40+- while running several programs...........so i decided to tweak my graphic card fan speed from 26% to 70%....now my only worry is that will i overload my graphics card???
